Sink Exercise: Navy Warship USS Rentz Sunk By Bunch Of Missiles

Live fire from ships and aircraft participating in Valiant Shield 2016 sank the decommissioned USS Rentz (FFG 46) in waters 30,000 feet deep and 117 nautical miles northeast of Guam Sept. 13.

Video includes a Hellfire missile launch from a Sea Hawk helicopter, plus forward looking infrared radiometer (FLIR) imagery from a U.S. Navy Patrol Squadron 46 P-3 Orion documenting live fire from ships and aircraft.

The boat sank in 5 hours after sustaining 22 missile hits, finally succumbing to hellfire missiles shots Navy Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 12 .
