Show You Remember

The First World War’s Gallipoli Campaign was fought in the Eastern Mediterranean from the spring of 1915 to early 1916. French and British Commonwealth troops would see heavy action against the Ottoman forces on the Gallipoli peninsula in what is now the country of Turkey. The Newfoundland Regiment arrived in theatre on September 19-20, 1915, and would serve bravely in the months that followed, before the Allies withdrew in January 1916.
